Carol Guzman      
Carol Guzman's subjects present themselves at every turn in the visual journey that propels her work - in antique stores and friend's collection, on far-flung travels, and out on the western landscape she loves.  In the studio, Guzman puts time to use as deftly as any brush or paint, getting to know the visual nuances of her subjects and imagining their stories.  Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Guzman worked and studied in New York City.  She came west in 1990, and today makes her home in south central Montana near the Shields River with her husband, artist, Clyde Aspevig.
