Dernovich has received many awards; most recently he was awarded Signature Membership in the Western Artists of America.  He has been included in many publications such as, American Artist Magazine, Cowboys and Indians, American Art Collector, and Peaks and Plains. His awards include First Place in Oil at the Phippen Museum Western Art Show and Sale, and Artists’ Choice at the Spirit – A Celebration of Art in the Heartland at the Museum of Nebraska Art.  This year he was awarded the Best of Show and the Gold Award, as well as the Pearce Museum Purchase Award at the 2011 Western Artists of America Show and Sale at Navarro College, Corsicana, Texas.
