Summer Art Program
Approximately 300 budding artists, generally ranging in age from eight to thirteen, signed up for over thirty classes. Pottery was especially popular this year, as artistically inclined children showed a real fondness for the kind of “hands-on” artistry that medium affords. Many classes focus on crafts while others introduce young people to more advanced mediums and techniques. The summer lineup typically ranges from pottery and watercolor instruction to chalk and pastels, cartoon drawing, and plein air painting. In all of the summer classes, the focus is on having fun while learning.

Young people in the Cody area continue to turn out in big numbers
to participate in a variety of classes offered through the summer
art program funded by the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale.
Artists providing instruction are members of the
Cody Country Art League and classes are held in cooperation with
the Shoshone Recreation District.
