BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE Opening Reception & Scout's Miniature Show & Sale - (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Join us for a reception to unveil the 33rd annual Buffalo Bill Art Show, featuring 110 of the nation's leading western painters and sculptors. The show remains open through September 20. Again this year is the Scout's Miniature Show & Wall Sale— a sale of sculpture and paintings by the well-known western artists participating in the September live auction. FREE to the public.

9a.m. – 3p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE WORKSHOP WITH JOHN GALLIS - Build a Western Style Side Table with a Door (Norseman Designs West, 3532 Cottonwood Avenue) Learn woodworking techniques from present day Artisans! John Gallis of Norseman Designs West will give a two-day, hands-on workshop on how to build a western style night stand/side table; all materials (including your final handmade piece) and lunch included. All levels of experience welcome. Reservations required.
9a.m. – 4p.m. BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE PLEIN AIR WORKSHOP - Painting on the Porch (Shoshone Lodge, 349 North Fork Highway) Come Paint on the Porch with well-known Buffalo Bill Art Show artist, Michael Ome Untiedt. Three days of painting and instruction at a picturesque Cody area ranch in the dramatic greater Yellowstone area. The artist will give a brief demonstration each day and offer one-on-one advice during student time. The class promises to be interesting, educational, and fun! All levels of experience welcome. Lunch will be included. Special discount prices will be available for those who would like to stay at the ranch. Limited class size, reservations required.

COLORFUL CANVASES WITH CAROL HAGAN - (Located at Buffalo Jump Wine, 1326 Beck Avenue) Join us in this exclusive opportunity to learn how to paint from Buffalo Bill Artist Carol Hagan. Learn the ins and outs of painting for a Quick Draw! The class will include instruction, materials for your piece such as canvas and paint brushes, light lunch and a special gift. 12p.m. – 5p.m. CODY CULINARY COOK-OFF - (Sheridan & Beck Avenue) Are you ready for a sensational culinary experience in the art of wild game? Don't miss this year's CODY CULINARY COOK-OFF. This scrumptious event is hosted by Yellowstone Recreations Foundation and features regional chefs competing for top prizes. Gourmet Elk Anyone? Stop by and judge for yourself. 11a.m.2p.m. CODY HIGH STYLE TOUR — Origins of Furniture and Design in Cody, Wyoming (Cody Club Room in the Cody Auditorium, 1240 Beck Avenue) Join us for an exciting presentation about the history and importance of western style furniture. Speakers to include: Steve Jackson with Museum of the Rockies and Terry Winchell with Fighting Bear Antiques. Following the presentation there will be a tour of the exhibition with the opportunity to meet the artisans and view their fine work. Lunch will be included and reservations are required.
2p.m.3p.m. BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE Honored Artist Lecture - (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) 2014 Honored Artist Jim Wilcox will discuss his life influences and work, poster signing to follow. FREE to the public.
4p.m.5.30p.m. BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE Final Preview - (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) View the exhibition a final time, visit with artists in the John Bunker Sands Photography Gallery, then stroll to the Party Time Plus Tent adjacent to the Center of for fine dining, beverages, and live music. 9a.m. BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE Quick Draw - (Party Time Plus Tent adjacent to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Join us for a champagne brunch and silent auction. Stroll throughout the Robbie Powwow Garden to observe more than thirty-five painter, potters, and sculptors at work — often using live models—to complete a piece in one hour. Quick Draw pieces are then sold at live auction. Reservations required.
6p.m. 38TH ANNUAL BUFFALO BILL CENTER OF THE WEST Patrons Ball - (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) The 38th Annual Patrons Ball begins in the Center's lobby with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy a seated dinner in one of the Center's galleries. Dance to the Denny Leroux Orchestra, and savor a late night buffet in the lobby.
